It is a nation which prides itself on the acceptance of people of a diverse range of race, skin colour, culture and religion. Its acceptance of countless religions of such immense diversity has been developed throughout the countries history; a history which began long before British explorer, Captain James Cook first set foot on its shores. Australia's history began with its original inhabitants, Aboriginal people, who based their spirituality on the Dreaming. As time progressed, and the new white-settlers adjusted, the land evolved into what it is today. The nations embracing of a multitude of differing religions has been a great adjustment considering the past. With certain historical events in mind, it is important to determine where Australia developed its multicultural nature.
